Open Letter to Congress: end premeditated murder of innocents in womb.

This is an on-going effort to #overturnRoe and #endabortion and as an incremental step in that direction, there is a bill pending in Congress to ban all abortions after five months' gestation in the womb. What worries me is that as far as I know there is no law passed by Congress that ever legalized abortion, so the wording of the bill could possibly do that and that would be wrong to do. It has to be illegal to kill one's own offspring--in the womb or elsewhere. What Congress should do instead is add tiny humans in the womb to the 14th Amendment to protect them at every stage of human development in the womb or elsewhere such as NICUs and birthing places. I am posting some of the news snippets about this and numbering them for reference:

1)Prolife leaders to Congress : "We call on the U.S. House of Representatives to pass H.R.36, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This compassionate legislation would protect children after five months, or more than halfway through pregnancy. This is the point at which science tells us the child can feel pain. In fact, doctors regularly administer anesthesia for babies undergoing prenatal surgery." Leaders signing on to this statement include:

Marjorie Dannenfelser, President, Susan B. Anthony List

Tony Perkins, President, Family Research Council

Penny Young Nance, CEO and President, Concerned Women for America

Jeanne Mancini, President, March for Life

Brian Burch, President,

Janet Morana, Executive Director, Gospel of Life Ministries

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director, Priests for Life

Kristan Hawkins, President, Students for Life of America

Dr. Russell Moore, President, Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission

2) "This bill bans the killing of unborn babies at 5 months or later, which is when medical science shows they can experience pain.

Sponsored by Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz) and Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn), “The Pain-Capable Unborn Protection Act” – H.R. 36 would end “more than 18,000 very late term abortions performed every year on perfectly healthy unborn babies in America” in a statement Franks made to LifeNews. “These are innocent and defenseless children who can not only feel pain, but who can survive outside of the womb in most cases and who are torturously killed without even basic anesthesia. Many of them cry and scream as they die, but because it is amniotic fluid going over their vocal chords instead of air, we don’t hear them” he said.

3) Social media responses to vote today on humans in womb capable of pain should not be slaughtered bill :

4) Quote :"The silence of the Synod last October was deafening – on abortion, on contraception, the foundation stone of the culture of death, on euthanasia and assisted suicide, on pornographic anti-life sex education, on the suppression of parents as the primary educators of their children, and on the indoctrination of children into the homosexual ideology. There is every reason for us as pro-life leaders to focus on this scandalous silence on these moral crimes in the Synod documents, for the sake of giving witness to Christ who founded the church, for the sake of authentic church renewal, for the sake of the pro-life movement and for the sake of our families who have been betrayed by the Synod authorities." 5) Quote: "A piece of legislation that would have removed all legal protection for the unborn in Ireland has been rejected by the national parliament by a vote of 74 to 23.

Deputy Ruth Coppinger presented her Bill to repeal the 8th Amendment to the Irish Constitution last Friday, appealing for support from the country’s political parties."
